Work Experience

TG Tracking

Media Marketing Specialist · 2023 – Present

Ongoing

Built a real-time operations dashboard that integrates API data streaming off coal-truck tracking devices — live fleet position, route history and operational reporting in one view. Started it at sixteen, in the first year of the job.

Analysed logistics data across the fleet to improve operational efficiency and reporting accuracy — turning raw telemetry into decisions the business could actually act on.

Designed customer-facing websites and marketing material across three years, owning each brief from design through to deployment.

Progressed from intern to specialist across three years of continuous engagement — through matric, and now through an engineering degree.

Michaelhouse · Research Assistant

With the Rector · 2024 – 2025

Completed

Collaborated with Rector Anthony Clark on a study of high-stakes communication and narrative construction — how a case is built, framed and sold when the stakes are highest.

Research topic: "Elon Musk's Secret to Selling Anything". Findings were presented to the school's senior leadership.

03

Leadership & Finance

Engineering Ball · Sub-Committee

Head of Finance · 2026 · Stellenbosch University

Active

Managing a R300 000 event budget as Head of Finance for the Stellenbosch Engineering Ball sub-committee, with Standard Bank as a key corporate sponsor and a multi-team committee structure underneath it.

Designed and built a custom ticket management system in Google Apps Script and HTML — a form-driven table collecting and managing ticketholder data in real time. Two stations sold R150 000 of tickets in a single hour on it.

Built on prior experience on the Metanoia newcomers committee, co-organising a full resident dance production under a sub-R20 000 budget and securing sponsorship from Nawty Water. From R20k to R300k: the same discipline, one order of magnitude up.

SA University Debating Championship

Invited · Prospective Head of Finance · National Bid

Pending

Invited to serve as Head of Finance on the organising sub-committee should Stellenbosch University be selected to host the South African University Debating Championship — a national tournament drawing every major university in the country.

The role would mean drafting a full tournament budget, managing income and expenditure across multiple revenue streams, and holding the financial relationships with institutional sponsors. The largest mandate pursued so far.

Current Projects

Memory Support Web App

Live

A support platform for people living with dementia and Alzheimer's, built during the Isazi Consultancy Hackathon in first semester with Michael Shepstone. Structured journalling, routine prompts and caregiver connectivity, aimed at the moment when memory stops being reliable. View the project →

With Michael Shepstone · Isazi Consultancy Hackathon · 2026

Education Research · The Digital Age

In Progress

Collaborating with Delecia Davids and a PhD team studying how digital environments shape student development at university — first-year undergraduate contributing to doctoral-level research.

Stellenbosch University · 2026

Engineering Ball Ticketing System

Shipped

A Google Apps Script and HTML ticket management system built for the Stellenbosch Engineering Ball. Generated a structured data table on the fly, collected ticketholder information, and carried the full sales pipeline — two stations moved R150 000 of tickets through it in one hour of live trading.

Engineering Ball Sub-Committee · 2026

Campus Vendor Business

In Progress

Working through Stellenbosch's campus vendor registration in order to run a small on-campus business alongside a full engineering course load. Mostly an exercise in paperwork, patience and unit economics.

Stellenbosch University · 2026

Logistics Intelligence Dashboard

In Production

Real-time fleet tracking, route analytics and operational reporting, pulling live API data from coal-truck tracking devices. Designed and built at sixteen for TG Tracking — the first system of mine that other people depended on.

TG Tracking · 2023 – Present

This Site

Ongoing

A ground-up design and build — editorial structure, a precision type system, and a motion language that carries the chapter metaphor throughout. Semantic HTML, CSS custom properties, and vanilla JavaScript. No framework, no build step.
